A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... So begins the epic sci-fi tale of the one of top highest-grossing films of all time, Star Wars. The franchise also became the basis of various novels, comic books, cartoons and of course, thousands of merchandise or novelty items.

The franchise also boasts of numerous classic tag lines and dialogues, with “May the Force be with you” the most unforgettable and quoted one. You also can’t fail to see a person donning a Star Wars costume during Halloween and Comic Con.

Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Yoda, Darth Vader, R2-D2, C-3PO and Chewbacca are just some of the most memorable characters in the franchise. And of course, they are the most popular characters on various Star Wars T-shirts, accessories and other novelty items available all over the world.

If you’re just beginning to ride the Star Wars bandwagon, you should fully acquaint yourself with this amazing movie franchise. Definitely, for a start, you need to see all six movies for now. You also need to be updated on the latest gossips and news about the three sequels which are yet to be filmed and shown. You can also start watching a marathon of the TV cartoon series shown within the last few years.  And to further show your devotion and utmost love for Star Wars, you need to have some T-shirts and other franchise-inspired merchandise.

If you’re quite unsure of what T-shirt to get for yourself since there are so many choose from, why not make a decision based on the movie character, such as the ones below, that you best relate to or you want to emulate?

Luke Skywalker. The main hero in the original film trilogy. Fearless, loyal, and brave, Luke is the perfect Jedi knight. So if you fancy yourself as always being the hero, in real life and in your dreams, go get a Luke Skywalker shirt.  But try not to lose your hand while you’re doing some heroic stuff.

Han Solo. Cool, suave, brave and the most skilled pilot around, that’s Han Solo for you. The dashing debonair who has a cool persona outside but loving and generous to a fault inside, you will definitely love playing and being in this character. And he gets the princess in the end, too. Another Star Wars character worth emulating, too.

Princess Leia. Luke’s twin sister and a leader of the Rebel Alliance, she is compassionate, brave and dedicated to the cause that she believes is worth fighting for, even if it seems everything is hopeless. She never gives up even when all odds are stacked against her.

Yoda. The Grand Master of the Jedi Order. Don’t let his diminutive and cute appearance fool you. He is the best Jedi master around. And if you get a Yoda T-shirt, maybe you’ll learn to be adept at talking in “Yodic”, too (that’s the object–subject–verb word order way of speaking).

  1. Though I'm not a die-hard Star Wars fan, it's kind of hard to ignore this franchise. Or feign not knowing about it. That's why I also have one Star Wars shirt at home, too!
